Joseph Rey is a creative art director who began his career in corporate communications, then later, made a successful crossover into the world of entertainment.
Born in 1965, Joseph Rey is a native of Los Angeles who wanted to be an artist ever since he was a child. He could always draw and as a teenager he freelanced as an illustrator for a national publication. In college, Joseph took traditional design classes and his focus was illustration. However, positive influences early in his life would sway him to develop his type and graphic layout skills and Joseph's love for graphic design was born.
Joseph has been in the graphic design business for more than twenty-years. His experience in graphic design is derived from 15 years of corporate communication experience, and in the last decade, exposure to the world of entertainment design through entertainment ad agencies and studios. He has worked as an art director for Lionsgate, NBCUniversal and Warner Bros. studios, creating key art, advertising and promotional collateral for shows on major networks, including, but not limitied to, the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics, Lipstick Jungle, Eastwick, The Big Bang Theory and The New Adventures of Old Christine.
In 2009, two major projects featuring Joseph's artwork, for two different studios, each won a Silver Promax/BDA Award in their categories – one for The NBC Agency and the other for Warner Bros. Worldwide Television.
In between gigs, Joseph writes for his blog, L.A. Link as well for the national resource site from professionals in their field and those who are passionate about specific topics, Examiner.com, as the 'Hollywood Places & Faces' examiner.
